Eden Garden

Ellisville – Fine Dining – European Food – Sport Bar

October 2019

Our REview

Just off exit 414, the final Columbia County exit on I-75, there is a little gem hidden inside a truck stop. Eden Garden is a surprise oasis amongst an otherwise fast food exit. Eden Garden provides travelers and locals with a fine dining experience set in a beautiful restaurant and sports bar. The restaurant and sports bar seats 250 people!

We tried the perogies as our appetizers. They were excellent, served steaming hot; a great way to start off our meal! Then we had the corn-breaded fried chicken covered with honey butter ($14). The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the cornbread batter kept the chicken moist on the inside yet crispy on the outside. This entrée comes with two sides, so we selected the scalloped potatoes and the steamed broccoli. Both were simple yet sophisticated and well-executed. We also tried the blackened grouper sandwich ($11). Now, when you go you won’t see that on the menu; but ask the server to have the fried grouper sandwiched blackened and the chef will make it happen! This fish was cooked perfectly nestled between a delicious bun.

The servers were still learning the menu when we went during the soft opening, but they were all kind and courteous. Lindsay was our server and she did a great job. We met Andy, the front of house manager and Gary, the general manager. Both were very professional and helpful. The overall experience was one of the best we have experienced in town. Eden Garden is a high-end restaurant. While the prices might be a little high for some, the atmosphere and experience are well worth it.  The complexity and quality of the dishes are incredible.  For those who need a less expensive option you can always go next door and get the best pizza in Ellisville!
