Sal’s italian deli

There is no messin’ around when you go to Sal’s Italian Deli for a meal. Whatever you end up ordering, plan for it to be big and even shareable, depending on the dish you order. A Lake City Eats Favorite is The Godfather sandwich- capicola, prosciutto, soppressata, mortadella, fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers piled in between a large ciabatta roll. If you’re in the mood for a hot sub, they’ve got one of the best meatball Parmesan subs in North Florida! All of their meatballs are made in house, and with some sort of secret to them that separates them from the other ordinary meatballs of the world.

Another favorite of ours is their stuffed shells, which are huge and stuffed to near explosion with ricotta cheese, and smothered in marinara sauce. If you’re looking for something on the lighter side, their Cobb salad will not disappoint! We know Cobb salad tends to be the same pretty much everywhere you go, and while this has the traditional ingredients that make up the Cobb, it differs in exceptional quality.

The options at Sal’s Deli are generous, which is why we won’t fail to mention the pizza. Some people just know how to make the kind of pizza that goes above and beyond with both the crust and the cheese, and you will find that pizza at Sal’s. Whether you’re looking for a classic pepperoni pizza, or a specialty white pizza, you’ll definitely leave having your pizza craving satisfied.

Take particular notice to the cakes in the display cooler when you first walk in- they are HUGE, and are as delicious as they look. I would highly suggest getting a to-go box for your lunch or dinner so you have room to enjoy a piece of cake with a bottled espresso coffee soda!
